Dr. MacArthur is married with two children. When he is not working he enjoys Japanese gardening the cultivation of bonsai and koi on his county acreage outside London. He enjoys poetry, painting and is committed to weight training and marathon running.

Dr. MacArthur grew up on the West Island of Montreal and graduated from McGill Dental School in 1986. He was posted to London, Ontario as a Captain in the Canadian Armed Forces from 1986 to 1990. Dr. MacArthur also worked in private practice during this time as well.
